Introduction to Assessment & Evaluation
The Assessment & Evaluation Module in Elentra is predominantly used to assess learner performance in a clinical environment, and provide multiple user groups with the ability to evaluate faculty, courses/programs, and other activities within the context of your organization. The module allows users to build survey like forms and deliver them to a group of users to complete.
Features of the module include:
- Create & manage scales and assessment response categories for use across your organization
- Create form items, forms, & configure form distribution methods
- Manage assigned forms from the administrator, faculty, and learner view
- Report on the results & completion rate of forms
- Connect forms to gradebook assessments to automatically grade the form and collect the grade in the associated gradebook.
Note: Elentra makes a distinction between the words assessment and evaluation.
- Assessment: If a form is used to assess learners, it's an assessment.
- Evaluation: If a form is used to evaluate courses/programs, faculty, learning events, rotations, etc. it is an evaluation.
It is important to understand this distinction because when setting up a delivery method (a distribution) for a form different options will be presented in the set up.

|
OFF
|
disable_distribution_assessor_notifications |
This goes hand in hand with unauthenticated_internal_assessments and enable_distribution_assessor_summary_notifications. When using unauthenticated distribution assessments, you probably want an single summary email with a link to each task rather than an email for each new task. This disables the per-task reminders.
|
OFF
|
enable_distribution_assessor_summary_notifications |
This adjusts the emails for distribution assessments to have a nightly summary of all new tasks, and then a weekly summary of tasks that are still incomplete.
|
OFF

assessment_delegation_auto_submit_single_target |
On by default, controls whether or not a page will auto submit when there is a single target in a delegation task
