Release 09.17.24

September 17th, 2024 Elentra Release

Release to Production effective September 17th, 2024.

Task Filter by Form Type: Users reviewing tasks for learners, faculty, or staff through the Assessments tab can now filter tasks by form type. This improvement makes it easier to locate specific tasks by their form category, enhancing task management efficiency.

Program Selector for A&E Admin Dashboard: Administrators managing multiple programs can now use a Program Selector to filter the results displayed on the A&E Admin Dashboard. This update allows admins to view tasks relevant to a specific program on both the Assessments and Evaluations tabs. Each tab retains its own filter settings, ensuring accurate task viewing and smoother program administration.

New feature! Gradebook Assessment Deadline Control: Admins now have the ability to set a deadline for distribution-linked assessments, ensuring that assessments completed after the deadline no longer impact the gradebook. Additionally, admins can now review individual assessments that contribute to a distribution-linked gradebook assessment, providing a clearer view of how final grades are calculated. This enhancement improves grade accuracy, offering more control and transparency in the grading process.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to The University of Miami for their valuable feedback in regards to helping us address gradebook challenges and ensure a better experience for all users.

New feature! Email Notification System for Task Delegation: We have implemented several improvements to the email notification system for task delegation. All assessors, including external ones, will consistently receive emails when tasks are delegated, ensuring they never miss assessment deadlines.

  • Optimized Email Delivery: The system has been optimized for consistent, reliable email delivery, ensuring that assessors receive task delegation notifications on time, reducing the risk of missed tasks or deadlines.
  • Standardized "From" Address: All Elentra emails will now be sent from a standardized "From" address—notifications@institution.elentra.cloud—ensuring uniformity across communication.
  • Improved "Reply To" Handling: When a user (e.g., student or faculty) submits feedback through the Feedback widget, the system will now set the logged-in user's email address as the "Reply To," allowing administrators to respond directly to the correct individual.
  • Customizable "Reply To" for Distribution Notifications: Administrative users can customize the "Reply To" email address for distribution notifications, with the “Setup Reply To Email” section on step five of the distribution. This has replaced the previous ability to set a custom ‘Sender’ email address.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine for their valuable feedback in regards to helping us ensure a better experience for all users.
