Release 07.21.26

Elentra Production Release July 21, 2026

This release brings meaningful enhancements to exams, assessment workflows, faculty administration, and Elentra Analytics, helping make everyday tasks more efficient. You'll also get a first look at what's coming next, including new tools for managing preceptor schedules and availability, along with Elentra's support for the updated AAMC MedBiquitous Educational Methods Standards. Explore the full list of updates below!

Exams & Assessment

PDF File Display in Exams
Resolved an issue where PDF attachments added to exam questions displayed as a blank when opened from the exam preview. PDFs now load correctly, allowing learners and administrators to view attached documents as expected.

Thank you to Texas Tech University, Health Sciences Centre, El Paso for their observations and valuable feedback, which helped inform this enhancement.

Give Full Credit Now Recalculates Learner Scores Correctly
Resolved an issue where applying the Give Full Credit option did not consistently update learner scores. When full credit is awarded, exam scores and final grades are now recalculated correctly for all learners, ensuring the full point value is applied.

Thank you to Texas Tech University, Health Sciences Centre, El Paso for their observations and valuable feedback, which helped inform this enhancement.

Assessment Tool Data Extracts: Export Comments and Scores Separately
Assessment Tool Data extracts now include an option to export comments and numeric scores into separate columns. This eliminates the need to manually split combined data before analyzing assessment results in external reporting or analytics tools.

Thank you to the National University of Singapore for submitting this idea through our Ideas Portal and helping shape this enhancement.

Many of our enhancements begin with ideas from our community. If you have a suggestion, submit it through our Ideas Portal—we'd love to hear from you!

Faculty & Administration

Enable Clinical Faculty Directly from the Preceptors View
Administrators can now enable the Clinical Faculty instructor profile directly from the Preceptors view without having to navigate away to Manage Users. When a faculty member is assigned as a preceptor but does not yet have a Clinical Faculty profile, administrators can enable the profile in place and continue their workflow without interruption.

Associated Faculty and Administrator Access Across Curriculum Periods
Resolved an issue where associated Faculty were not automatically granted administrator access across all curriculum period versions of a course website. Faculty members now receive the appropriate administrator permissions across all curriculum periods as intended.

Thank you to Arizona State University for their observations and valuable feedback, which helped inform this enhancement.

Elentra Analytics

Easily Find Reports for SCOPE Survey Reporting
Reports relevant to the SCOPE Survey are now tagged with SCOPE Mapping to make them easier to locate. To view these reports, navigate to Browse, select All Tags, and choose SCOPE Mapping to quickly access reports that support SCOPE survey completion.

Coming soon

Clinical Schedule Tab
A new tab on instructor profiles will bring a preceptor's clinical schedule together in one place: everything they are already committed to, and a place to set how many learners they can take at once.

The Bookings tab will show a preceptor's full schedule across rotation schedules in a single list, with the schedule, rotation, block, dates, learner, site, and status for each booking. Filtering will narrow that list to a specific schedule, period, or status, so a preceptor's commitments can be reviewed in whatever context the question requires.

Preceptor Availability Tab

The new Availability tab will let you set how many learners a preceptor can take at once. Held across rotations and across schedules, it will apply wherever that preceptor is booked, so what a preceptor can accommodate is tracked within the system and available to draw on when making placement decisions.

Availability will then be surfaced at the point of booking. Selecting a preceptor will show what they can take, along with any existing bookings that overlap the period being scheduled and the details of each. Coordinators will have what they need to place a learner or reconsider the preceptor without leaving the page or reconstructing the information elsewhere.

Elentra Supports the Updated AAMC MedBiquitous Educational Methods

Elentra is proud to be an implementation partner for the newly revised AAMC MedBiquitous Educational Methodology standard, a multi-year initiative led by the Medbiquitous working group to modernize how health professions programs document teaching and assessment. Visit the AAMC Webinars to learn more about these initiative.

To support this recent update, Elentra's existing Medbiquitous Instructional and Assessment Methods have been refreshed to align with the new standardized vocabulary, along with the addition of Matrix Categories that let institutions tag key attributes like learner type and assessor role independently. The update also introduces flexible reporting options, giving programs additional ways to view and export curriculum data that matches current accreditation and reporting needs.

These enhancements make it easier to maintain consistent curriculum data while preserving the flexibility to represent your institution's unique educational model. By adopting the updated standard, programs can support more meaningful reporting, improve interoperability, and better align with evolving accreditation expectations.

If you have any questions about the above-listed information, please contact support@elentra.com. If you see a feature that is not currently being used within your instance of Elentra and are interested in learning more about it, please contact your Elentra Account Manager for more information.
